Sparklehorse=better show than you went to

So I went to see Sparklehorse play at the Fillmore on Feb. 10th. This is proof that I've let my blogging slide to the wayside. You see, this was an incredible show. I mean in-credible. Mark Linkous cannot be topped. He's just fantastic. Click on the title and you will be taken to one of the best fansites, a link to almost all things Sparklehorse. So this show, this show was numbingly good. The set was everything I hoped, including many classic songs from the first three albums, and a good dose of all that's new from "Dreamt for Lightyears in the Belly of a Mountain" ... Lighting was spot on, the performance was impeccable, and it even rivaled the first time I saw Linkous play back in 2001. This was the first show he had played in the San Francisco area since then, and it was worth the wait. I really can't say enough, if you're not already listening to this band, please, please, please start, start and obsess, for it is healthy.
Also, to my great surprise, Civil War #7 was released yesterday. By golly gee whiz it was great. I had some mixed emotions on how the story was wrapped, but it really was great. A much more satisfying conclusion than I had hoped for.
Ok. I also finished "Blinding Light" a few days ago, and yes, it was good, it wasn't totally blown out of proportion in the review I read. A little though. I mean, it still didn't change my life. At least not that I know of...
I bought a new bottle of hot sauce on Tuesday. Kind of expected more. It was labeled "Hot Sauce From Hell" and touted itself as the hottest thing on earth and it was just, well not the hottest thing on earth. I've had hotter. Can't say I'de recommend it. Not that it was bad, just not worth its price tag.
Masta? Masta? Where are you Masta?
Mastadon that is. Mastodon actually. Yet you can't say Masto Masto can you. My god how my love of blood mountain groweth and brimmeth over.
So ah, no pictures or scans or images of any sort are being posted today. Maybe tomorrow. Just not in the mood for the effort. Doubtful though. I probably won't do it tomorrow either.
Oh, I also have to, yes must mention, that I was recently puzzled when my stereo remote refused to do it's job and play music for me. I hit it, regrettably as I later discovered, because the batteries were dead. When I pulled them out though I was amazed to see they were the original twin double a's from the time I opened the box my music box machine came in. Wow. Those lasted eight years. ??? 8. That's right, 8. Long time right? I think I will have to post a picture of them soon. They're green and black with some silver writing. Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. seems to be the manufacturer. The best batteries ever! And the name Matsushita contains the word shit, which would be a horrible description for these marvels of modern engineering.
Just a small concluding note, for whatever reason, spellcheck isn't working. So no smart ass remarks about spelling or snetence structure or the like, I'm not in the mood and there is no way I'm going to look up words that I know the meaning of in the Dictionary. Just not going to happen.
