No Power in the Verse Can Stop Me!!!

Yes, I have accomplished many things. Many important things.

1. Finished viewing the X-Men animated series on youtbue.
2. Finished reading the first book of "Otherland" by Tad Williams, which for some reason I lagged on.
3. Blew through the Firefly series and rewatched the movie Serenity, making sure to check all the special features of both. It just reinforced what I said the moment Joss took over Runaways, Joss Whedon is the man!
4. Got a better job.

Obviously the most important of those four recent accomplishments is number 3. Firefly is the best show ever on television. Western Sci-Fi epic loaded with wit and humor and dare I say, action. Fantastic action. Shiny stuff really. I am quite sad I have nothing left to watch on it actually. It leaves a hole in my very being, much like the point when I reached episode 70 of X-Men, when it seems Marvel was going bankrupt and all the best animators and writers couldn't be paid, leaving the show a shell of it's once grand self. The final few were hard to watch, I really think they should have just ended it, or renamed it, the show was just not the same, it was downright disapointing to be honest. Maybe with a different name, without me comparing it to such a superior story, I may have enjoyed it. Enough of that though, I'll just say I recommend everyone watch the first 69 episodes of X-Men while it's still alive on youtube. Getting back to the real issue the, the real accomplishment of my last month, Whedon's Firefly is a must watch. The story has everything important, love, life, violence, faith, heroism, evil, death, sex, work, lack of work, scams, cheating, friendship, beauty, war, opression, devotion, heart. More probably. The cast is wonderful, I couldn't imagine eliminating anyone without hurting the story. The characters all have so much to offer, it's a shame something this good was cancelled before the first season was even aired in it's entirety. It lives on in fandom though, and I am so glad to have joined the ranks. If you haven't seen it please watch it. I want to dream that Whedon will somehow continue this wonderful verse. Oh, and I'm in love with River...and Ianara, and Kaylee too. Zoe does something for me too, plus she made it to Heroes, another beloved show.

Other shows I love besides those already mentioned:
Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Spiderman the Animated Series, Batman the Animated Series, Spongebob, Samurai 7, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends... mostly cartoons I guess.

As far as comics, WWH still great, liking 52 more and more, Astonishing X-Men and Runaways, Fables, Walking Dead do not dissapoint. Waiting for more Fell, I love love love it. My budget is low so I'm missing a lot.

Currently reading Confessions, a biography about communist China, and about to start a couple graphic novels. I'll probably write about them soon.

The world is heavy so I watch tv and read comics and play music and games, waste time online with headphones on whilst listening to whatever is captivating me at the time. Sometimes I feel I should face all my problems head on. I think I'll go read now.
